Dr. Kurt Piatkowski
Dr. Kurt R. Piatkowski is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with over two decades of experience in comprehensive musculoskeletal care. He is recognized for his expertise in orthopedic trauma, spine disorders, joint replacement, and pediatric orthopedics. Dr. Piatkowski earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, Missouri, in 2000. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Des Peres Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, where he also pursued advanced electives in degenerative spine surgery, total joint replacement, and pediatric orthopedics through leading institutions including St. Louis University and Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital. In addition to his osteopathic training, Dr. Piatkowski holds a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic.
Certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgeons since 2008 and recertified in 2020, Dr. Piatkowski is also an active member of the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He holds active medical licenses in multiple states, including Michigan, Arizona, Arkansas, Illinois, and more, reflecting his broad commitment to patient care across regions.
Prior to his medical career, Dr. Piatkowski worked in the fitness industry, where he ran a personal training business, laying the foundation for his holistic approach to orthopedic health.
