Dr. Irfan Qureshi
Dr. Qureshi is a highly skilled and experienced trauma and critical care surgeon with board certifications in both General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care by the American Board of Surgery. With over 15 years of post-medical school experience,
Dr. Qureshi earned his medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 2004 and holds dual bachelor's degrees in Biological Sciences and Immunology from the University of Arkansas and Columbia University, respectively. He completed his general surgery training at institutions including the University of Florida, University of Colorado (where he also served as Chief Resident), and St. Mary's Hospital/Yale University. He further specialized with a fellowship in Trauma and Surgical Critical Care at the University of lowa.
Dr. Qureshi has served in both full-time and locum tenens roles, providing trauma, general, and critical care surgical services at hospitals in Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, Texas, and Colorado. He is proficient in laparoscopic, thoracoscopic, and both upper and lower endoscopic procedures. His certifications also include Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and credentials in the Fundamentals of Laparoscopic and Endoscopic Surgery.
Dr. Qureshi is currently on staff at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, where he practices trauma, acute care, and ICU surgery.
